Aveda has launched two items catering to wavy manes as part of its Be Curly line. Curl Controller is a conditioning and frizz reducer, while Curl Enhancing Hair Spray adds hold and definition.

Product tests showed they did just that. Even better, the plant-based items had calming citrus and plant aromas and did not weigh hair down despite being all-over products. The organic babassu oil in the curl controller from an indigenous women’s co-op in Brazil is not an ingredient you see every day and seemed to play a key role in softening locks. Wheat protein and organic aloe in both the curl controller and hairspray kept hair looking and feeling healthy.
